Article: COMMUNITY CHORUS OPENS SEASON WITH HAYDN'S TE DEUM

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Nov. 11 -- The University of Arkansas at Little Rock issued the following news release:

UALR's Community Chorus - joined by the UALR Concert Choir and Chamber Choir - kicks off its season with a performance of Joseph Haydn's Te Deum at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Stella Boyle Smith Concert Hall in the Fine Arts Building.

The Chamber Choir will sing several advanced a capella works from a variety of genres, and the Concert Choir will perform J.S. Bach's Motet No. 1, Sing to the Lord a New Song (Singet dem Herrn ein neues Lied) in the original German.
