YPSILANTI, Mich., Oct. 5 -- Eastern Michigan University issued the following news release:

Competing against some of the nation's elite teams, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team again showed that it can hold its own on the links. Head Coach Bruce Cunningham's crew finished in fourth place with a 54-hole total of 882 (296-292-294) Monday afternoon at the 13th Annual Windon Memorial Classic. The nation's 10th-ranked team, the University of Illinois, rolled to the six-stoke victory over 36th ranked and host Northwestern University on the 7,081 yard, par-71 Skokie Country Club.
