SEATTLE, Oct. 7 -- The University of Washington issued the following news release:

The University of Washington joins eight other high-profile college basketball programs when it officially begins its Pac-10 title defense with a special ESPNU Midnight Madness event at Bank of America Arena.

The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 16 - immediately following the third-ranked Husky volleyball team's home match against nationally-ranked UCLA. The volleyball match is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first serve.

Tickets to the volleyball match are available by calling (206) 543-2200 or by clicking here. Free admission to the basketball event will begin at 7:15 p.m.
