Patient satisfaction rates are an important way for healthcare organizations to determine the success of current operations and plan initiatives for the future. In January 2002, ACHE surveyed CEO affiliates to determine their current efforts to track patient satisfaction in their organizations. Results from the survey indicate that healthcare organizations use a variety of methods to measure patient satisfaction and that most CEOs are pleased with the results.
