As Reservists read this article, they will have or will soon be approached about enrollment in the Selected Reserve Dental Insurance Plan that begins 1 October 1997. (Please note that this plan is for Selected Reservists; enrollment for the self-funded retiree dental plan has been delayed until at least January 1998.) An overview of the Selected Reservist dental plan's provisions was included on page 60 of the August 1997 issue of The Officer.
After my recent telephone conversations with Humana Military Healthcare Services and the contract provider, the specifics of the plan are as follows:
