Article: Diets on the cover

On my wall is a framed Life magazine cover dated Jan. 19, 1958. The cover image shows a young and ecstatic Fidel Castro on the way to deposing the Cuban government. The caption reads, "Castro in Triumphant Advance to Havana." But that's not the reason why I mounted that particular cover What amuses me is the two other story pitches at the top: "Turmoil on Capitol Hill: A Look at a New Kind of Congress" and, most of all, "Crash Diets Are No Good."
