Article: A new instrument for the evaluation of a date rape prevention program

Studies reveal that date rape and other forms of sexual aggression are far too common among college students (Koss & Harvey, 1991). Administrators have begun to address the problem of date rape through the use of prevention strategies and evaluation studies (Lonsway, 1996). The literature reveals that the majority of evaluation studies for date rape prevention programs have used one of two instruments that were developed on populations very unlike college students (Lonsway & Fitzgerald, 1994).
