After failing to meet earnings expectations, Santa Ana-based MotorVac Technologies Inc. hopes that bringing in an auto industry veteran as chairman will help revive the company's stock, which has taken a beating in recent months.
MotorVac's shares have recently been trading at under $2 a share, down more than 60% from the April 1996 initial offering price of 5 3/8.
The company, which makes a system to remove deposits from gas and diesel engines, last month appointed Ron Monark as chairman.
