Long Beach-based Memorial Health Services is thinking about relocating its headquarters to Fountain Valley, a move that would put the hospital network's administration in a central location between its Orange County and South Bay properties.
Memorial has three hospitals in OC and a roughly 10% marketshare here. CEO Thomas Collins said Memorial's board of directors is discussing a move to the campus of Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, a 230-bed facility that the network acquired from FHP International two years ago.
In addition to a central location, the Fountain Valley location would increase the system's visibility in OC, according to Collins.
