BILOXI - If you want a career number crunching in the Air Force, you'll have to go through Keesler Air Force Base (AFB) to learn how to do it.
As a result of the Air Education and Training's Center of Excellence program, Kessler AFB is now home to comptroller/financial training for the Air Force. Keesler is also a Center of Excellence for communication/computers and electronics. Center of Excellence is an Air Force initiative to align like training at one location, maximizing use of space and balancing the workload.
Comptroller training was moved from Keesler to Sheppard AFB in Texas, where courses have been held for the past 48 years.
