Airbus has agreed to form the Single Corporate Entity, but what are the next steps? Richard Haycocks, Corporate Finance Partner at Ernst & Young, discusses the implications.
Recent announcements have reconfirmed that Airbus partners have agreed to form the Single Corporate Entity (SCE). The new entity will manage the partners' manufacturing sites, but no decision has yet been reached about ownership of these sites by Airbus. However, providing that Airbus can manage the sites without interference from the previous partners, physical ownership is unlikely to be of major concern.
