Following are step-by-step procedures for creating a dental model using the Krystal Model tray system.
1. Trim the impression (Fig. 1) to within 7 mm of the gingival margin to ensure that the peripheral border is equidistant from the occlusal plane in both the posterior and anterior areas, as well as the left and right sides.
2. On upper impressions, trim the palate to a height level with the labial and buccal borders.
3. Mark the center line on the impression and mark the position of the occlusal surfaces of the posterior teeth.
