Costa Mesa-based Lindora Medical Clinics lost clients when it decided not to push the now-discredited phentermine-fenfluramine drug treatment.

Cynthia Graff, who is a majority owner of what is one of Orange County's biggest women-owned businesses, said she was willing to be left out of the phen-fen loop because she was concerned about reports of primary pulmonary hypertension.

But this year, Lindora has no plans to miss the bariatric bandwagon's latest pharmaceutical weight-loss agent, dubbed Meridia. Recently, Lindora's medical director, Dr. Peter Vash, said he will prescribe Meridia, which is said to give the sensation of feeling full, to some of Lindora's roughly 70,000 active clients.
