Ingram holds steady as rival warns of slowing sales

Will Santa Ana's Ingram Micro Inc. soar or stumble this holiday season?

The question is on the minds of investors after Tech Data Corp., Ingram's Clearwater, Fla.-based rival, said spending by U.S. customers has softened, making the outlook for fourth-quarter sales lower than first expected.

Tech Data is the second largest technology products distributor after Ingram.
