Article: 2002 another tough year for IPOs in Indiana

The pace of initial public offerings by Indiana companies, not a rush in recent years, slowed to almost nothing in 2002.

Only Indianapolis-based Windrose Medical Properties Trust, a real estate investment trust specializing in medical buildings, successfully executed an offering, in August.

In 2000 and 2001, two IPOs were completed each year involving Indiana companies.

Last year's IPO activity also included a postponed offering for Chautauqua Airlines, an Indianapolis-based carrier that called off its planned IPO in July.
