Article: State's long-range economic planning at issue

In late December the Legislature announced plans to develop a 20-year economic development plan. In early January, the State Workforce Development Council voted to ask the Workforce Investment Board to develop a long-range strategic plan for the state. And, Sen. Jack Gordon recently filled a Senate bill that would require the Department of Finance and Administration to develop a statewide strategic plan.
