MARTINSDALE - The Charles M. Bair Family Museum here will not open this spring, museum trustees have decided.
The museum, the family's ranch home in the Musselshell River Valley, was a gift of Charles Bair's daughters, Marguerite and Alberta, to the community and Montana.
The house is a repository of Western art and artifacts as well as fine art and antiques collected by the women on trips to Europe.
The future of the museum and its eclectic contents will be determined over the next few months, said Jim Roscoe, a Billings steel executive and chairman of the Charles M. Bair Family Trust, which is responsible for the Martinsdale museum.
