A passionate collector: Rosemary Kovarik

ROSEMARY KOVARIK says that Donald Duck has attitude. In the 1930s, movie theaters would run Disney cartoons before the feature films. When all of the other children swore their loyalty to Mickey Mouse, Rosemary held out for Donald. She says that Donald came across as more human: "He got mad, he showed some personality...he had 'attitude'."

Rosemary admired that attitude so much that today she has more than 1,500 Donald Duck articles in her home. Cookie jars shaped like Donald Duck in the kitchen, animation cels from the Duck Tales cartoon show in the living room, and an entire bedroom dedicated to Donald paraphernalia.
