Editor: We were unable to include a profile of bronze medallist Mark Ye in the January 2003 issue of Beyond Numbers. It is with both our apologies and our congratulations to Mark and Deloitte & Touche LLP that we bring you the following profile.
Just believe
"After the UFE," Mark Ye recalls, "I felt like I might have done just well enough to pass, but nowhere near the top ten-let alone medalling."
In fact, Ye was so surprised when he saw his score that he phoned the CASB registrar's office to confirm his candidate number.
"I just couldn't believe it was true," he explains. "It was a total shock, and definitely a pleasant surprise."
