Championing Atomic Veterans
Thanks very much for your cover story on atomic vets-"Under the Mushroom Cloud" (March) by Gary Turbak. VFW magazine has done much to broaden public knowledge of veterans who participated in Cold War-era atomic testing.
We encourage all atomic vets to find out as much as they can about their participation in nuclear tests. Due to the government's Openness Initiative much more information is now available to veterans.
