Some gift annuity rates to change 1 July--Consider giving now

The oldest and most frequently used form of charitable giving that produces income for donors is a charitable gift annuity. Effective 1 July 1998, some annuity rates will change.

The ROA Memorial Endowment Trust follows the uniform schedule of recommended charitable gift annuity rates as published hy the American Council on Gift Annuities. The endowment offers the maximum gift annuity rates suggested by the council up to a high of 12 percent.

The council recently met and recommended changes to some of the current rates in effect. The new rates represent a slight reduction for those age 83 and younger. Recommended rates remain unchanged for those age 84 and older. Examples of new and old ...
