Growth in the residential refurbishment market has prompted Lemco Carpets Inc. to build a new, larger facility a few blocks to the south of its current 8,000 square foot site at 5209 So. Commerce Dr., Murray.
"We outgrew this showroom dramatically. For the size of volume that we turn, we've got to lave a bigger facility," said Dave Seare, president of the 40-year old company.
Anticipating growth, Lemco bought three acres at 4800 So. Commerce Dr. two years ago. Construction of a 12,000 square foot building at the site is expected to begin in about three weeks, said Seare, with a move-in date tentatively set for October.
