A more accurate title for this work would be: "Environmental Problems: A Social Constructionist Approach." Growing out of, and expanding, the analysis of environmental movements started by Reily Dunlap in the 1970s, this book, rather than focussing generically on environmental sociology, examines how activities or events come to be recognized, or not, as environmental problems.
