Crime: it has been called a "nonissue" in Madison County by Madison County Economic Development Authority executive director Jerry Acy.
And in Rankin County, Tom Troxler, executive director of Rankin First Economic Development Authority, feels the same way.
"I can honestly say that, at least for economic development in Rankin County, crime has not been a problem," Troxler said.
Duane O'Neill, president of the MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce, acknowledged the crime problems in suburban Jackson might not be as great as the crime problems in the City of Jackson.
