British Waterways, the organisation that cares for more than 2,000 miles of canals and rivers nationwide, has been awarded a coveted top 100 place among the Sunday Times `Best Companies to Work For'. This is the first year ever that public sector bodies have been included in the list and British Waterways - placed at number 77 is one of just two public sector companies to appear in the top 100.
Robin Evans, chief executive of British Waterways, says: "British Waterways is a unique organisation, blending a commercial approach with public sector ethos to provide maximum enjoyment and benefit from the waterways for everyone.
