China is a fast-emerging economic giant. It is the breadbasket of Asia and a market for the offshore products of 1,250,000,000 people. It boasts a relatively stable economy amid the highly volatile economies of Asia, including Japan. Imagine the "people power" represented by a country that is only slightly larger than the United States yet is home to one billion more people and has virtually unlimited natural resources.
The market economy in China continues to mature, in part due to foreign investment - and the public relations field is expanding rapidly as a result. Although still in its adolescence, public relations in China holds tremendous potential in today's era of rampant changes.
