Geoff Fisher visited Lectra to find out about the company's latest laser cutter for the transportation market - the Focus Airbag-HP - developed in response to the huge increase in worldwide demand for lateral or side airbags.

Lectra has introduced a new laser-based cutting machine for the transportation market-the Focus Airbag-HP (High Power). The cutter has been developed in response to the huge increase in lateral (side) airbag demand worldwide (see also, Technical Textiles International, March 2003, pages 19-23), says the French-based manufacturer of software and hardware for industrial users of textiles, leather and other soft materials.
