As one of the outstanding virtuoso organists of all time Fernando Germani had the most formidable organ technique of his generation. As the dedicated teacher of many of today's most famous players he will be forever remembered as the fount of enormous musical and technical inspiration. Unlike most of the other great master-- organists of Europe, he held a liturgical position for a short time, being that of Titular Organist of St Peter's in the Vatican, which he occupied for eleven years from 1948.
