NEWARK, N.J. - Lasers and laserlike light sources have become an important adjunct for the treatment of acne scarring, said David J. Goldberg, M.D. Selecting an appropriate laser depends on the characteristics of the scar to be treated. For saucerized scars, the recently available erbium:YAG lasers represent a significant therapeutic advance, he suggested.
