In April, Oswego County was hit with one of the most devastating natural disasters in decades. For almost two days, freezing rain covered trees, utility lines, and buildings, causing significant damage to homes and businesses throughout the county. Ice-storm damage costs are estimated at $3.8 million to $5 million in Oswego County.
In order to help the recovery effort in Oswego County, Operation Oswego County (OOC) recently donated office space at its Start-Up Facility (SUF) located in the Oswego County Industrial Park in the town of Schroeppel, to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the New York State Emergency Management Office (SEMO) to assist county residents and ...
