There really is no question about who will be elected governor of New York State in two weeks. Popular Republican Gov. George Pataki best known for deposing three-term Democrat Mario Cuomo in 1994-is headed for a possible record landslide reelection. According to the latest New York Daily News poll, Pataki leads Democratic opponent Peter Vallone, speaker of the New York City Council, by a whopping 53% to 26% statewide.
