KASEY KAHNE is the latest in a long line of Busch prospects who first turned laps in open-wheel racing

In a sport in which everyone has come to expect young, talented drivers to win quickly, Kasey Kahne hasn't quite followed the common template. But that's not to say he won't be one of NASCAR's next big things.

Fourteen races into his second Busch Series season, Kahne is 11th in points with six top 10 finishes, including a career-best fourth at California. That's quite a difference from his rookie season, when he had one top 10 in 20 starts-on his way to finishing 33rd in points-while driving for owner Robert Yates.
