Chicago - Fluocinolone acetonide (0.01 percent) in a blend of mineral oils and refined peanut oil is an effective therapy for pediatric atopic dermatitis, even in children with peanut allergy, according to Amy S. Paller, M.D.,
Dr. Paller and colleagues recently published the results of three clinical trials investigating the safety and efficacy of fluocinolone acetonide 0.01 percent in a refined peanut oil base (DermaS-moothe/ FS) for treatment of atopic dermatitis in children aged two to 12 years.
