The UK's newsprint sector is buzzing with rumors that News International may switch from offset to flexo printing methods at its newspaper and magazine plant in Wapping. The move would present a considerable headache for recovered paperbased newsprint producers as it is impossible to deink flexo printed newspapers under present methods.
A spokesman for the UK publisher revealed little on the company's future direction. "Basically, we are looking at the pros and cons of different processes," he said.
