Antioxidant/anti-inflammatory amino can optimize exercise performance and growth
Amino acids are called the building blocks of protein, so most of us gymgoers associate these nutrients with the repair and rebuilding of muscle tissue. But now the amino acid L-histidine is gaining attention for its convincing anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Other compounds are associated with antioxidant properties (such as Vitamin C, Vitamin E and selenium) or anti-inflammatory properties (such as cetylmyristoleate and gammalinolenic acid), but L-histidine is unique in that it appears to incorporate both effects at the same time.
