The pending acquisition of Dolton-based thrift Calumet Bancorp Inc. by FBOP Corp. of Oak Park has apparently fallen through.
On Nov. 23, less than three months after announcing that FBOP would buy Calumet Bancorp for $111.6 million, Calumet officials announced that FBOP wanted a purchase price adjustment, lowering the amount by $4 million.
According to a news release from Calumet Bancorp., the company expects FBOP "will attempt to terminate the merger agreement" if a price adjustment wasn't met due to FBOP's concern ...
