*I don't care if Barry Bonds hits 800 home runs, he'll never save baseball the way Babe Ruth did in 1920, a year after baseball's worst scandal.

* As much as I hate to admit it (being a Wings fan), the Ducks did upgrade themselves by signing Sergei Fedorov. Although both he and Paul Kariya are chronic whiners and underachievers, Fedorov can be dominating-even in the playoffs-when he wants to play. I'm not sure you can say the same about Kariya.
