Article: New image: Voxel refocuses, OC future in doubt

A deal last week has rescued Voxel from the technological scrap heap, but the Laguna Hills-based imaging company goes forward with scaled-down ambitions, and with a questionable future as an Orange County operation.

Voxel was sold for $3.15 million last week to a Utah-based entity that included one of its major creditors, ending a seven-month search for an owner following Voxel's bankruptcy. The sale price was a mere fraction of the $50 million market cap that Voxel once boasted.
