Article: A simulation model for strategic planning in rail freight transport systems

RAIL TRANSPORT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION IS UNDERGOING STRUCTURAL CHANGE DERIVED FUNDAMENTALLY FROM THE LIBERALIZATION PROCESS THAT HAS BEEN UNDERTAKEN. IN THIS NEW ENVIRONMENT, APPROPRIATE TOOLS FOR STRATEGIC PLANNING WOULD BE AN IMPORTANT AID TO THE COMPANIES INVOLVED.
