Summary. Two new species of Phyllanthus (Euphorbiaceae), P. caesiifolius Petra Hoffm. & Cheek and P. nyale Petra Hoffm. & Cheek, are described from the Bakossi Mts area, South West Province, Cameroon. Both are placed in subgen. Phyllanthus sect. Phyllanthus subsect. Swartziani G. L. Webst.
INTRODUCTION
On recent expeditions to the Bakossi Mts in southwest Cameroon, the second author and collaborators encountered a small understorey Phyllanthus with striking bicoloured leaves. The adaxial surface of the leaf-blade had a conspicuous bluish-white base, whereas the distal half was green. The plant was collected in two localities c. 15 km apart.
