Article: Princeton Devil Rays ready to begin play in new stadium

PRINCETON -- The Princeton Devil Rays, an Appalachian Baseball League affiliate of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, will be getting a new $2.3 million stadium for the upcoming 1999 season.

The new 1,700-seat stadium, designed by Stafford Consultants of Princeton, is located behind the Mercer County Technical Center, off Route 460 in Princeton.

Funding for the new stadium was provided by the Hunnicutt Foundation, according to Jim Holland, general manager of the Princeton Devil Rays.

Although there was an initial investment of $2.3 million, Holland said there will be more to come for the new home of the Princeton Devil Rays.
