This book landed on my desk just as I was about to start lecturing on a course on Music Technology. A quick glance at the authors' background shows they both have experience in acoustics and recording studio layout. Originally published in 1995 in France, the present publication by Wiley is very readable. The text is easy to follow and the inclusion of the odd equation adds conviction to the various arguments. The best aspect is the number of diagrams. From the treatment of sound waves to the positioning of stereophonic microphones, the numerous diagrams make this a very good ...
