For years, Fort Wayne served as a pit stop for weary travelers journeying to larger cities. That pit stop has since evolved into a destination.

"Fort Wayne offers visitors more than any other city that's similar in size," says Dan O'Connell, executive director of the Fort Wayne/Allen County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), a not-for-profit organization established in 1949 to promote Fort Wayne's image as a destination.
