Irvine-based Gish Biomedical Inc. recently named Jim Talevich vice president and CFO, replacing Jeanne Miller, who left the company to stay at home with her newborn child.
"My primary goal is to improve efficiency and profitability and to help the company assess opportunities as they arrive in markets that they might not have previously considered," Talevich said.
Reporting to company CEO Jack Brown, Talevich supervises five employees.
"I like the fact that [Gish] looks like the environment in which a person can make a big difference," said Talevich. "Smaller firms are always able to find opportunities that larger companies have overlooked."
