FINE ART dealer Charles Tovar of Atlanta Conservation in Atlanta, Georgia, will be the featured speaker at the upcoming Metrolina Antiques & Fine Collectibles Fall Spectacular in Charlotte, North Carolina, to be held October 29 through November 2. Lectures will be presented three times each day, free of charge to the thousands of show attendees projected to shop the five-day, 2,000-dealers event. ...Why do leaves change color? Blame it on lack of sunlight, not the first frost. Leaves change color because the shorter fall days don't provide enough sunlight for photosynthesis (the process plants use to make food). Trees stop making chlorophyll (the green chemical needed for photosynthesis).
