October's outing of the Northern Ireland Branch was every drinker's dream - an evening with Arthur Guinness Son & Co (Belfast) at the company's Appollo Road headquarters.
The 40 or so members and guests were welcomed by credit manager Bill Grogan in the firm's luxurious custom-built conference centre and the evening began with a video of Guinness adverts over the years.
The principal speaker for the evening was Colm McGonnigle a 'brand name manager' who spoke of the importance of maintaining the brand name or brand ,essence' as they now prefer to call it.
