American Muslim groups discuss political priorities with Bush campaign

Looking ahead to the 2000 presidential race, representatives of seven national Muslim organizations yesterday presented American Muslim concerns to Michigan Governor John Engler. The Detroit meeting was the first between representatives of American Muslim organizations and the George W. Bush presidential campaign.

After yesterday's landmark meeting, the American Muslim Council looks forward to similar opportunities to discuss the community's issues with Al Gore, Bill Bradley, Elizabeth Dole, and other presidential candidates.
