Carbon County completes industrial shell building

Carbon County is banking on a brand new industrial shell building located in an industrial park which should help spur economic development and create jobs.

The Carbon County Economic Development Corp. (CCEDC) held an open house and ribbon cutting Dec. 15 for the first industrial multi-tenant building developed and owned by CCEDC.

The 40,000-square-foot structure is located at 600 Industrial Drive, Green Industrial Park, Nesquehoning. The first project of its type in Carbon County, the effort was spawned by the CCEDC with grant money from the Economic Development Administration and Appalachian Regional Commission.
