Hot Pink Pittsburgh promotes breast exams
While most people think of Halloween's orange and black as October's signature colors, hot pink will highlight autumn, marking the national observation of breast cancer awareness.
The first of many activities planned locally to raise awareness is "Hot Pink Pittsburgh, Dancers in Motion Against Breast and Cervical Cancer," a collaboration of the Family Health Council and the Pink Ribbons Project.
The fund-raiser, featuring all forms of artistic dance was planned with three goals in mind, said Cheryl Sills, Family Health Council vice president for Development and Communications, a private, nonprofit health care organization.
