Hill District RIDC Park Talks Continue

Economic development in downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland place the Hill District in a strategic position.

More than one year ago, five community development leaders in the region, including two from the Regional Industrial Development Corp. of Southwestern Pennsylvania, toured the Hill District to examine possible sites for a light industrial park or office complex.

Since that time discussions have continued but no planning has begun and no commitment was made to building what is known as an RIDC park in the Hill District.
